Restaurant: Local 360

Dear Friend,

This is the second post in our Restaurant Recommendations post series. Enjoy!

Local 360

Website: http://www.local360.org/

Where: The corner of 1st and Bell in downtown Seattle

What: Local 360 is all about local and organic food. Everything they serve comes from a 360 mile radius of the restaurant in downtown Seattle. The only exception to this rule is their coffee, as there are not coffee beans that are grown in a 360 degree radius of Seattle (but they are working on it!). Their dairy and eggs are cage-free with no antibiotics or growth hormones. All produce is sourced from sustainable farms and USDA certified organic. The meat is 100% vegetarian and treated humanely. If you aren't into this "Portlandia" mindset, the restaurant honestly has some of the best food we have ever tasted. Lots of times when people here the words "organic"or "local", they assume raw veggies with no flavor, but this place puts all those prejudices to rest. And to top it off, the waiters are SUPER friendly.

Favorite dishes:
-Beet salad, rogue bleu, walnuts, cider vinaigrette
-Mac & Cheese

"When you engage in eating, the brain should be the servant of the stomach." -Agatha Christie

Yours truly,
Kylie and Catherine
