Flu Season

Dear Friend,

Let's face it. There's a bug going around- the flu season is a major ruh roh this year. We've noticed that less and less people are coming to school. They are dropping like flies, so we thought it would be a good idea to blog about how to avoid getting sick and what to do if you are sick.

Avoiding the Flu
-Get a good amount of sleep
-Eat three solid meals a day (keep up your energy)
-Keep yourself hydrated
-Buck up and get the flu shot!
-Be conscientious of those who are sick
-Wash your hands
-Wear clothes appropriate to the weather

If You Are Sick...
-Stay home! It's no fun being out of commission, but it is in everyone's best interest if you keep your germs to yourself and focus on getting better.
-Drink tea
-Sleep
-Watch a good movie
-Follow this recipe (it is espoused by our good friend and the dean of students):

1. Take a lemon or lemon juice and put a BUNCH in a mug. Like a bunch.
2. Put a BUNCH of honey on top. Like a bunch.
3. Add just a pinch of cayenne pepper on the top. Just a pinch.
4. Put hot water on top and stir it up.
5. Drink it all.
6. Use a "netty pot." Invest in it if you don't have one.
7. Get tiger balm and put it on your chest and below your nose.
8. Eat some oranges and take Vitamin C

We hope this post was informative! Good luck with the rest of the flu season!

Yours truly,
Kylie and Catherine
